2015 Jeep Renegade

The most common complaints revolved around:

Reasons for recalls include:

  • Trailer hitch assembly may separate from vehicle. Any trailer that becomes detached, regardless of whether the vehicle is in motion, could cause an accident.
  • Transmission may unexpectedly shift to neutral. If this happens while the vehicle is in motion, the risk of an accident increases.
  • Rear control arm bracket weld failure. A loose axle could increase the risk of an accident.
  • Radio software security vulnerabilities. Someone could remotely take control of certain systems, creating the risk of a crash.

2016 Jeep Renegade

Reasons for recalls include:

  • Trailer hitch assembly may separate from vehicle. Any trailer that becomes detached, regardless of whether the vehicle is in motion, could cause an accident.
  • Rear control arm bracket weld failure. A loose axle could increase the risk of an accident.

2017 Jeep Renegade

Reasons for recalls include:

  • Incorrect software combinations. This could cause the driver to believe a malfunction has occurred when nothing has gone wrong.
  • Oil pump housing crack may cause engine stall. A stalled engine could increase the risk of a crash, especially if the vehicle is already in motion.
