Recent Ford Complaints & Recalls

  • Steering wheels can become loose or detach.
A dangerous situation like this could cause an accident.
  • Front seat adjuster pivot bolts that could loosen.
In a crash, this increases the risk of injury if a passenger isn’t properly wearing a seat belt.
  • Doors that can open when the car is in motion.
This can lead to injury if the driver becomes suddenly distracted, surround traffic panics or hits the car, a passenger falls out, or if debris or other objects enter the vehicle.

If you come to an abrupt halt, there’s a chance the back of the seat won’t properly restrain you.

A faulty parking brake on a slope could be a recipe for a crash, as your vehicle could roll down the hill. This is especially true if the vehicle is at risk of being hit or if the transmission hasn’t been pushed into Park.
  • Fuel pump assembly welds may fracture.
Fracturing can lead to fuel leaks, which can ignite with a simple spark.
  • Issues with the shifter.
Some vehicles have presented issues with the transmission indicating it’s in the incorrect gear. This has caused some drivers to move when they wanted to stop, and vice versa.
  • Rivets missing from roof braces.
If the roof braces detach, they could cause injury or a crash. If the braces detach during a crash, they could increase the risk of an injury.
